Something is amiss in the air swirling around the Gateway Arch and lofting over Busch Stadium. The euphoria of a season that ended with the adrenaline rush of postseason baseball does not hang in the air for the St. Louis Cardinals for the first time since 2011. That season, just a year after missing the playoffs outright, the Redbirds went on to claim their 11th World Series Championship in franchise history.
