Arguably the Cardinals' best Gant since Ron, John Gant will start Monday's spring training game in place of Trevor Rosenthal, a rare chance for for the former Brave as he vies for a roster spot. The big news, of course, is Rosey missing his potential first start due to a lat muscle soreness, but Gant's fill-in is an intriguing storyline – like Rosenthal desired, Gant plans to use this starting assignment to showcase his arsenal and durability.
