Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 3-3-16: Joe Gillette Singles Twice, Walks, Homers, & Drives In Four Runs; Josh Rolette Walks Twice; Matt Vierling singles



Aaron Bond (former 2016 draft selection-San Jacinto) entered late in the game in left field and batted seventh.

San Jac beat Wharton 8-2 (3/4/17)

Joe Gilette (former 2014 draft selection-Menlo) started at third base and batted second.  3-for-4 one home run, with four RBIs, two runs, one walk, and committed one error.

Menlo beat Arizona Christian 10-2

Ryan Merrill (former 2015 draft selection-Texas Christian) started art shortstop and batted eighth.  0-for-3 with one run, one walk, one stolen base, and one fielding error.

Texas Christian beat LSU 9-6

Josh Rolette (former 2015 draft selection-Kansas St) started at catcher and batted fifth.  0-for-3 with one run, two walks, and one strikeout.

Kansas St beat Eastern Illinois 15-10

Matt Vierling (former 2015 draft selection-Notre Dame) started in centerfield and moved to pitcher, batting fourth.  1-for-4 at the plate.  He allowed no hits or runs two-thirds of an inning.

Maryland beat Notre Dame 4-3
