The Washington Nationals have swung and missed a couple times now during these Winter Meetings, first losing closer Mark Melancon to the San Francisco Giants, then finishing as runners up to the Boston Red Sox in the Chris Sale sweepstakes. The bright side to that, of course, is that the team still has prospects available to trade, and they seem to be trying to do just that as they continue to go after Pirates centerfielder Andrew McCutchen.
