After spending the past seven seasons stinging baseballs all around Busch Stadium and enriching the St. Louis community with charity work without getting proper thanks from fans, Matt Holliday is heading east. The New York Yankees and the soon to be 37 year old outfielder have agreed via sources on a one year/13 million dollar deal. It's a low liability grab by the Yankees in the same vein of their three year deal given to Carlos Beltran after he departed the Cardinals. Holliday hits and does it often, and the Yankees are wise men. If he bombs out and gets hurt, it's an easy cut and run.
