There's no question the St. Louis Cardinals and Edwin Encarnacion are a fit for each other. The Cards lost some thump when Brandon Moss and Matt Holliday weren't invited back to the 2017 Busch Stadium slumber party. The Cards don't have a definitive first baseman, and Encarnacion, in limited duty, doesn't embarrass himself at first base.
