$220 Million Second Phase Of Ballpark Village Announced

The St. Louis Cardinals today announced plans for a $220 million, 550,000 square foot second phase of Ballpark Village which will include the construction of a 29-story luxury high-rise residential tower, the first new Class-A office building built in downtown St. Louis in nearly thirty years, and additional retail, restaurant and entertainment space.

Ballpark Village, which opened as an entertainment district just north of Busch Stadium in March 2014, will soon be expanding.

A 29-story luxury apartment building rising into the St. Louis skyline alongside the historic courthouse and Gateway Arch will be the featured part of Phase II for the Cardinals’ Ballpark Village, the club announced early Tuesday morning.

Phase two of Ballpark Village includes a proposed "Class A" office space, the first such office building that would be built in downtown St. Louis since 1989.

While there may not be baseball being played downtown right now, there was still plenty of excitement today as the St. Louis Cardinals announced plans to begin the $220 million, 550,000 square feet phase two of Ballpark Village.
