Aledmys Diaz is poised to return to the St. Louis Cardinals within the next week, and it couldn’t be timed any better. An offense that’s set a franchise record for home runs in consecutive games is surprisingly under-powered, suddenly. The home runs are impressive, but paired with a poor on-base percentage; solo home runs are insufficient to power the offense.
