Matt Holliday would understand if it doesn't come, if the stakes of the Cardinals' zig-zagging chase for a National League wild-card spot are deemed too high to pause for nostalgia's sake. Already, some are worried about Cardinals manager Mike Matheny overusing the still-healing slugger through the final three games. We're past that point.
