Earlier this season, pitcher Mike Mayers made his Major League debut for the Cardinals fulfilling the Ohio native and Ole Miss grad’s boyhood dream. Now he’s back with the September call-ups to help the Cardinals push for the postseason. In this week’s Ask a Cardinal, we talked to Mayers about making it to the Majors and some of his favorite memories from along the way.
