I liked the trade when Cards GM John Mozeliak moved the popular veteran center fielder Jon Jay to San Diego for infielder Jedd Gyorko. But the deal was hardly met with unanimous approval. The deal inspired some puzzled looks, the scratching of scalps, and more than a few exasperated “What the Hell is Mo thinking?” reactions.
