Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League Playoffs 8-20-16: Daric Barton Walks Twice & Hits A Two-Run Homer; Iker Franco Walks Twice & Knocks In Two Runs; Eugenio Velez Singles & Doubles



Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Yucatan) started as designated hitter and batted fifth.  0-for-4 with one run, one walk, two strikeouts, and grounded into one double play.
Pedro Rodriguez (former MiLB signing-Yucatan) entered in the eighth and pitched to one batter.  He allowed no hits or runs.  (p-s:2-2)(g/f:1-0)(ir-s:1-0)

Campeche beat Yucatan 11-7

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted fifth.  1-for-4 with one home run, two RBIs, two runs, two walks, and assisted in one double play.

Iker Franco (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started at catcher and batted fourth.  0-for-2 with two RBIs (one w/two-outs), two walks, one sac fly, one strikeout, and threw out one base runner.

Puebla beat Quintana Roo 7-5

Eugenio Velez (former Memphis-Monclova) started in left field and batted leadoff.  2-for-4 with one double.

Tijuana beat Monclova 2-1
