Alberto Rosario Gets Rare Start For Cardinals

On a day of limited offensive opportunities for the Cardinals, it was a rare breakthrough. For the only time in the game, the Cardinals got back-to-back hits, with two outs in the seventh. After Greg Garcia singled, backup catcher Alberto Rosario, making a rare appearance while Yadier Molina got a day off, doubled into the right-field corner. Garcia scored the run — just the second big-league RBI for Rosario on his seventh big-league hit — that got the Cardinals within one run of the Athletics at 5-4.
