I stopped yelling about All-Star selections years ago. The fan-voting process is a marketing vehicle for Major League Baseball and its highly successful online site. Fans are encouraged to click and click often. It’s a popularity contest, a showcase, an exhibition, a night of stars. And that’s OK. Fans should vote for their favorites and disregard MLB’s idiotic decision to tie the All-Star Game result to home-field advantage in the World Series.
