Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 7-5-16: Daric Barton Singles, Doubles, & Drives In One Run; Eliezer Alfonzo & Iker Franco Each Single & Knock In One Run



Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted fifth.  2-for-4 with one double, one RBI, one run, one strikeout, and assisted in three double plays.

Puebla beat Carmen 5-2

Eliezer Alfonzo (former Peoria-Mexico) started as designated hitter and batted seventh.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one run, one sac fly, and grounded into one double play.

Monterrey beat Mexico 13-10

Eugenio Velez (former Memphis-Monclova) started in left field and batted leadoff.  0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
Ramon Delgado (former Memphis-Mexico) started and pitched 3.2 innings.  He allowed eight hits, six earned runs, one walk, hit one batter, and struck three out for the losing decision (2-3).  (p-s:57-40)(g/f:7-0)

Saltillo beat Mexico 9-0

Iker Franco (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started at first base and batted sixth.  1-for-4 with one RBI, two strikeouts, and assisted in one double play.

Jose Martinez (former Springfield-Veracruz) started at second base and batted third.  1-for-4 with one run and one fielding error.

Veracruz beat Quintana Roo 4-1

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Laguna) started at shortstop and batted sixth.  0-for-3 with two strikeouts, grounded into one double play, and assisted in two double plays.

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted leadoff.  1-for-3 with one intentional walk and grounded into one double play.

Aguascalientes beat Laguna 5-1

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) entered late in the game at second base and assisted in one double play.

Tabasco beat Yucatan 3-2
