The Cubs paid an extravagant price to secure Aroldis Chapman for a bullpen that’s been in a state of deterioration since the end of April. In flipping Chapman before he could leave as a free agent after the season, the Yankees cashed in for heralded Cubs shortstop prospect Gleyber Torres (age 19), veteran major-league RH pitcher Adam Warren, Class AA outfield prospect Billy McKinney and Class A outfielder Rashad Crawford.
