Cardinals right-hander Adam Wainwright has come almost full circle since his last start against the Padres. He fell to 0-3 with a 7.25 ERA after facing them April 22, when he tossed six innings and gave up three runs on seven hits in a 4-1 loss at Petco Park. It was a low point in his season that had many wondering how much he had left.
