Former Cardinals Playing In MLB 5-9-16: Carlos Beltran Hits Two Solo Home Runs; Colby Rasmus Singles & Drives In Two Runs; Coco Crisp Singles, Doubles, Walks Twice, & Knocks In Two Runs

Carlos Beltran (former St. Louis-New York-A) started as designated hitter and batted fifth.  2-for-4 with two home runs, two RBIs (one w/two-outs), and two runs.

New York-A neat Kansas City 6-3

Colin Walsh (former Springfield-Milwaukee) started at third base and batted sixth.  0-for-4 with four strikeouts.

Miami beat Milwaukee 4-1

Coco Crisp (former New Haven-Oakland) started in centerfield and batted leadoff.  2-for-3 with one double, one two-out RBI, three runs, and two walks.
John Axford (former St. Louis-Oakland) entered in the sixth and pitched one inning.  He allowed two hits, four earned runs, one home run, two walks, and struck two out. (p-s:27-15)

Boston beat Oakland 14-7

David Freese (former St. Louis-Pittsburgh) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter and batted ninth.  0-for-1 at the plate.

Cincinnati beat Pittsburgh 3-2

Colby Rasmus (former St. Louis-Houston) started in left field and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with two RBIs and one strikeout.

Houston beat Cleveland 7-1

Steve Cishek (former St. Louis-Seattle) ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs, and struck two out for the save (10).  (p-s:12-8)(g/f:1-0)

Seattle beat Tampa Bay 5-2
