Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 5-20-16: Kep Brown Singles, Walks, Homers, & Drives In Three Runs; Dustin Beggs Strikes Out Six Over Eight Scoreless Innings For The Win; Justin Bellinger Singles, Doubles, Homers, & Knocks In Two Runs



Dustin Beggs (former 2014 draft selection-Kentucky) started and pitched eight innings.  He allowed six hits, no runs, two walks, and struck six out for the winning decision (9-2).  (p-s:119-80)

Justin Bellinger (former 2014 draft selection-Duke) started at first base and batted fourth.  3-for-4 with one double, one home run, two RBIs and two runs.

Duke beat Pittsburgh 7-5

Kep Brown (former 2015 draft selection-Spartanburg Methodist) started in right field and batted fifth.  2-for-4 with one home run, three RBIs, one run, one walk, and one stolen base.

Hartford beat Spartanburg Methodist 6-5

Gio Brusa (former 2015 draft selection-Pacific) started in right field and batted fourth.  0-for-4 at the plate.

Pepperdine beat Pacific 6-0

Cadyn Grenier (former 2015 draft selection-Oregon St) started at second base and batted ninth.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one run, and one strikeout.

Oregon St beat USC 3-1

Josh Rolette (former 2015 draft selection-Kansas St) started as designated hitter and batted third.  1-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Ryan Merrill (former 2015 draft selection-Texas Christian) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  0-for-3 with one strikeout.
