Opening Day in St. Louis is like a national holiday. Companies give their workers part of the day off, kids get out of school early to go to the game and everyone is wearing Cardinals clothes. Anywhere you go in St. Louis you will see Cardinal red, from the Cardinals cookies at the grocery stores, to the fans in their Redbird gear at the local bars and even the fountains dyed red for the occasion.
