Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-5-16: Iker Franco Hits A Two-Run Homer; Luis Garcia Singles, Doubles, & Drives In Two Runs; Eugenio Velez Singles & Knocks In One Run

Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Yucatan) started as designated hitter and batted seventh.  2-for-4 with one double, two two-out RBIs, and one strikeout.

Yucatan beat Oaxaca 3-2

Eugenio Velez (former Memphis-Quintana Roo) started in left field and batted leadoff.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one run, one sac fly, and one caught stealing.
Iker Franco (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started at catcher and batted seventh.  1-for-4 with one home run, two RBIs, one run, and one strikeout.

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted sixth.  1-for-4 with one strikeout.

Puebla beat Quintana Roo 6-5 in 10 innings

Ruben Gotay (former Memphis-Saltillo) started at first base and batted fifth.  0-for-4 with one ground into double play and assisted in one double play.

Saltillo beat Reynosa 6-5

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Laguna) started at shortstop and batted third.  1-for-4 with one strikeout.

Mexico beat Laguna 7-3

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) entered late in the game at second base.

Tabasco beat Campeche 2-1
