Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-16-16: Daric Barton Doubles, Walks, & Drives In Two Runs; Eliezer Alfonzo Doubles; Eugenio Velez Collects Two Singles

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) entered late in the game as designated hitter and batted fourth.  0-for-1 at the plate.

Eliezer Alfonzo (former Peoria-Mexico) started at catcher and batted eighth.  1-for-5 with one double, one run, one passed ball, assisted in one double play, and allows two stolen bases.

Mexico beat Tabasco 7-6 in 11 innings

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted fifth.  1-for-4 with one double, two RBIs, one walk, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.

Puebla beat Aguascalientes 9-4

Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Yucatan) started at first base and batted seventh.  0-for-3 with one walk, one fielding error, and one throwing error.

Yucatan beat Reynosa 2-1

Eugenio Velez (former St. Louis-Quintana Roo) started in left field and batted second.  2-for-4 with one sacrifice, two strikeouts, one caught stealing/pickoff, one outfield assist, and assisted in one double play.

Monterrey beat Quintana Roo 5-2

Campeche beat Laguna 8-2
