Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 4/5/16: Gio Brusa Singles, Doubles Twice, Walks, & Knocks In Three Runs; Justin Bellinger Singles Twice, Doubles, Walks, & Drives In Three Runs; Matt Vierling Walks Twice & Hits A Solo Home Run



Justin Bellinger (former 2014 draft selection-Duke) started at first base and batted fifth.  3-for-5 with one double, three RBIs, one run, one walk, and one strikeout.

Duke beat Greensboro 7-4

Michael Bono (former 2014 draft selection-Santa Clara) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, one walk, and hit one batter.  (p-s:22-10)

Santa Clara beat Cal Poly 10-1

Gio Brusa (former 2015 draft selection-Pacific) started in right field and batted fourth.  3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBIs, two runs, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Pacific beat Fresno St 15-6

Tristan Hildebrandt (former 2014 drat selection-Cal St Fullerton) entered late in the game at second base.

Cal St Fullerton beat San Diego 4-2

Josh Rolette (former 2015 draft selection-Kansas St) started as designated hitter and batted third.  1-for-4 with one walk and one strikeout.

Kansas St beat Nebraska 4-2

Dom Thompson-Williams (former 2014 draft selection-South Carolina) started in left field and batted fourth.  2-for-4 with one RBI.

South Carolina beat Coastal Carolina 4-2

Matt Vierling (former 2015 draft selection-Notre Dame) started in right field and batted fourth.  1-for-3 with one home run, one RBI, two runs, two walks, and one stolen base.

Notre Dame beat Michigan 9-5
