Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 4-16-16: Dustin Beggs Strikes Out Five & Allows One Run Over Seven Innings; Josh Rolette Singles Twice, Doubles, & Drives In Three Runs; Matt Vierling Hits A Two-Run Homer



Dustin Beggs (former 2014 draft selection-Kentucky) started and pitched seven innings.  He allowed four hits, one earned run, one home run, and struck five out.

Justin Bellinger (former 2014 draft selection-Duke) started at first base and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one double, two RBIs, two runs, one walk, and and one strikeout.

Duke beat Miami (FL) 12-5

Cadyn Grenier (former 2015 draft selection-Oregon St) started at third base and batted ninth.  0-for-3 with one sacrifice and one strikeout.

Washington St beat Oregon St 8-3

Tristan Hildebrandt (former 2014 draft selection-Cal St Fullerton) started at second base and batted ninth.  1-for-2 with one sacrifice and one caught stealing.

Cal St Fullerton beat UC Davis 3-2

A.J. Kruzel (former 2013 draft selection-Henderson St) started at shortstop and batted third.  2-for-4 with one double, two RBIs, two runs, and one walk.

Henderson St beat Southern Nazarene 14-3

Ryan Merrill (former 2015 draft selection-Texas Christian) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  1-for-4 with one strikeout.

Texas Christian beat Oklahoma 12-2 in game one of doubleheader

Josh Rolette (former 2015 draft selection-Kansas St) started as designated hitter and batted third.  3-for-5 with one double, three RBIs, two runs, and one sac fly.

Kansas St beat West Virginia 15-2

Dom Thompson-Williams (former 2014 draft selection-South Carolina) started in centerfield and moved to left, batting fifth.  0-for-1 with one walk.

Georgia beat South Carolina 13-4

Matt Vierling (former 2015 draft selection-Notre Dame) started in centerfield and moved to right, batting fourth.  1-for-4 with one home run, two RBIs, and one run.

Notre Dame beat Boston College 4-1
