While Jhonny Peralta prepared to go to St. Louis to have his injured left thumb get a second set of eyeballs and scans, Yadier Molina is testing his rehabbing left thumb by hitting baseballs off a tee and in soft toss drills and is preparing to catch an inning or two in a game.
