Michael Wacha, who is allowing opposing batsmen to hit him at a .405 clip this spring, will start for the Cardinals Friday against the National League champion New York Mets in an exhibition game.

Michael Wacha makes his fourth start of the spring this afternoon against the New York Mets, the first time Wacha has pitched in a location that is remotely near Jupiter. Previously, Wacha had worked games in Ft. Myers (MIN) on March 8, Viera (WSH) on March 13 and Ft. Myers again (BOS) on March 19. Wacha has a 7.88 earned run average in those three starts, spanning eight innings of work.
