Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 2-21-16: Gio Brusa Hits A Two-Run Homer; Matt Vierling Singles, Walks, & Hits A Solo Home Run; Cadyn Grenier Singles, Triples, & Drives In One Run

Gio Brusa (former 2015 draft selection-Pacific) started in left field and batted second.  1-for-4 with one home run, two RBIs, one run, and two strikeouts.

Joe Gillette (former 2014 draft selection-Oregon St) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter and batted fourth.  One walk at the plate.
Cadyn Grenier (former 2015 draft selection-Oregon St) started at third base and batted seventh.  2-for-4 with one triple, one RBI, two runs, and committed one error.

Oregon St beat Minnesota 8-7

Tristan Hildebrandt (former 2014 draft selection-Cal St Fullerton) started at second base and batted ninth.  2-for-4 with one strikeout and assisted in one double play.

Cal St Fullerton beat Stanford 4-3

Ryan Merrill (former 2015 draft selection-Texas Christian) started at shortstop and batted seventh.  1-for-3 with one run and one walk.

Texas Christian beat Loyola Marymount 5-0

South Carolina beat Albany 8-1

Matt Vierling (former 2015 draft selection-Notre Dame) started in right field and moved to center, batting eighth.  2-for-3 with one home run, one RBI, one run, one walk, and one strikeout.

Santa Clara beat Notre Dame 4-2
