One of the drudgeries of training camp for baseball players is the drill, a necessary one, in which pitchers dash off the mound to cover first base on ground balls hit to the right side of the infield, notably to the first baseman who then underhands a toss to the pitcher. Cardinals righthander Adam Wainwright, however, is one of the very few looking forward to that exercise beginning later next week.
