On KMOX radio this weekend, Cardinals GM John Mozeliak said in light of Jason Heyward signing with the Cubs, he was no longer looking that hard at adding to the team’s offense. Mozeliak made it clear his pursuit was all about pitching. He insisted just because they were interested in Heyward does not mean they’re going to chase the next best free agent outfielder.
