They failed to land David Price, so the Cardinals are still seeking a prime-time starting pitcher, maybe two. They may shift their attention to second-tier guys such as Yovani Gallardo, Scott Kazmir, Mike Leake, or even Johnny Cueto with all his medical red flags. The Cardinals have discussed Chris Davis for first base. It appears they will not try to re-sign Jason Heyward.
