While some St. Louis Cardinals would like to assume Jason Heyward is coming back, it's far from a sure thing. This is Heyward's big contract opportunity and he will take his time. While I thought weeks ago that he would just sign by the end of November, I may be wrong. So Cards GM John Mozeliak has to think about backup plans.
