Instead, the Cardinals get another look at rookie Anthony DeSclafani, who shut them out for seven innings in St. Louis last week, defeating John Lackey, who will oppose him again Tuesday, by a 1-0 score. ... By the end of the series, the Reds will have started rookie pitchers in eight straight games. The most recent team to have done that is Oakland, which finished the 2012 season with 14 straight games started by rookies.
