As if the league-low ERA and league-high wins weren’t ornamental enough, the Cardinals and their league-leading pitching staff could have as many as four representatives at next week’s All-Star Game in Cincinnati.

Three more Cardinals were added to the All-Star roster Monday night as Trevor Rosenthal and Michael Wacha make their first appearances while their backstop, Yadier Molina, was named to his seventh consecutive midsummer classic.

Marco Gonzales, the Cardinals pitching prospect who has been slowed by shoulder irritation, is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Friday. He’ll probably start for Class A Palm Beach and aim for a pitch count between 35 and 40 pitches.
