Albert Pujols Falls In 2015 Home Run Derby Semifinals

A new era in slugging has begun, with the Gillette Home Run Derby presented by Head & Shoulders at Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park.

Top-seeded Albert Pujols, who has 546 career home runs, edged Chicago Cubs rookie Kris Bryant in the first round of the All-Star Game Home Run Derby on Monday night. But the 35-year-old Pujols seemed to tire as he lost, 12-11, in the semifinals to Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Joc Pederson, the fourth seed, in the competition at Great American Ball Park.
