The Minnesota Twins-Cardinals interleague matchup, which will feature home-and-home, two-game series this week, basically is one that Major League Baseball forgot. The teams haven’t played in the regular season at all since 2009, when Minnesota won two of three games here. And save for two exhibition games when Minneapolis’ Target Field opened in 2010, the Cardinals haven’t played the Twins in Minnesota since 2000, when the Twins lived at the Metrodome.
