Trevor Rosenthal spent the 2014 season as the closer for the St. Louis Cardinals, it was his first full season in the role. He was fourth in MLB with 45 saves but he did it in unsustainable fashion, walking 5.4 batters per nine innings. That rate was the worst in baseball among full-time closers and the seventh-worst of the 110 relievers who pitched in at least 60 games last year.
