Reyes showed tantalizing potential in a pair of opening-week starts by hitting triple digits with his fastball and fanning 10 hitters in his first outing. He backed it up in his next start with 10 more strikeouts. About the only ding in Reyes’ dossier at this point is his sometimes spotty control, a product of his long limbs. His three-pitch mix of fastball, curveball and changeup is unquestioned, and those attributes could help him rocket even farther up prospect boards this summer.
