Cardinals Will Stick With Rotation Despite Postponed Game

The forecast for poor weather and sub-freezing temperatures at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night has led the Cubs to be proactive and postpone the game against the Cardinals hours before first pitch.

Back in spring training when Cards manager Mike Matheny announced his five-man rotation to start the season he said Carlos Martinez would indeed go the fifth game. They were not going to use all the off days to go with a four-man rotation and bump Martinez to the bullpen.

Following Tuesday's postponed game against the Cubs, the Cardinals decided not to make changes to their rotation order but rather bump each starter back one game.
