As the calendar turns over each winter, baseball fans eagerly await the upcoming season’s annual prospect rankings. Cardinals’ fans are certainly no different, and the appetite for updates on names throughout the system can seem ravenous. Reporting for minor league spring training this week is a pitcher who appeared on these lists in 2012. ESPN’s lead prospect analyst, Keith Law, had vaulted the Cardinals’ 2010 2nd round pick, Jordan Swagerty, to #92 on his preseason list & had this to say about the talented right-hander:
