Left-hander Freeman was in camp on Monday, two days after being acquired from the Cardinals. Freeman played high school baseball at Carrollton (Texas) Hebron and is thrilled to be playing for his hometown team. Said Freeman, "My family was pretty fired up. My dad was really excited. He is a diehard Rangers fan."
