Andrew Morales came to the Cardinals in the summer of 2014 already accomplishing a lot in just 6 months of college baseball. Morales was the ace pitcher for the University of California at Irvine which made a remarkable run to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. Morales made the start for the Anteaters in their first game against the University of Texas. By the time that game was played, Morales was already selected by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2014 draft.
