Cardinals right-hander Lance Lynn received good news after an MRI performed on Monday confirmed that he had not suffered anything more serious than a left hip flexor strain in his start on Sunday.

Cardinals starter Lance Lynn had a magnetic resonance imaging scan taken Monday of his hip injury and the results confirmed what the team diagnosed Sunday, the righthander said.

After coming out of Sunday’s game against the Marlins with a left hip flexor strain, Lance Lynn declared himself fully healthy and ready to make his next bullpen appearance in a couple days. He insisted he wouldn’t miss a start and no changes would occur to his throwing schedule.
