Cardinals manager Mike Matheny has divided his regulars evenly for two split-squad games, one here against the New York Mets and one in Viera against Washington.

It's unusual for a split-squad game to take place so late in spring training but that's exactly what's happening here in Florida this afternoon. Half of the Cardinals will hit the road for a matchup with the Nationals in Viera while the other half will stay at Roger Dean Stadium and face the Mets.
