Lance Lynn Leaves Start Early With Left Hip Flexor Strain

Lance Lynn's first spring start ended prematurely when the righty was forced out of Sunday's game vs. the Marlins after suffering a left hip flexor strain.

Entering spring training, Lance Lynn was considered to be the lone Cardinals' starter the organization and its fans had no reason to be concerned about.

In the second inning of Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Marlins, Lance Lynn took himself out of the game with what was announced by the team as a left hip flexor strain. It sounds worse than it is. The 6'5" righty says it's just tightness.
