Offseason wrist surgery for Jon Jay has kept him out of Grapefruit League games thus far. The Cardinals center fielder is trying to make sure everything is strong before he takes things to the next level. Jay has been working extensively in the cage as well as taking live BP so it would be natural to think game action is imminent.

Though Jon Jay continues to put in exhaustive behind-the-scenes work to prepare for the season, manager Mike Matheny said Jay's Grapefruit League debut will likely be pushed back until late next week.
