You feel bad for Jaime Garcia but, in the end, this is probably what is best for the St. Louis Cardinals. Getting Carlos Martinez in the rotation right out of the gate is mandatory to getting an accurate read on what this guy can do. If Garcia's setback were to take place in, say, May or June it would've been tricky for Martinez to build his stamina back up.
