This spring, the Cardinals have altered their live pitching practice schedule so that it's not a constant churn of pitchers facing hitters or a carousel of arms taking turns against hitters, but instead offers built-in breaks for both pitchers and hitters.

Now that the calendar has flipped to March that means Grapefruit League play is set to begin shortly. Indeed, the first game on the schedule is this Thursday "at" the Miami Marlins - who, of course, share the Roger Dean Stadium complex with the Cardinals.
