It’s fairly standard during spring training games for the coaches, if not most of the dugout, to shout a fielding reminder to the pitcher when a groundball is put in play and the pitcher might have to make the play or race over to cover first. But when Atlanta’s seventh batter of the game chopped a groundball to Adam Wainwright’s right, one voice rang out above the others. And he wasn’t pushing Wainwright to make a play.
