Rain Chases Cardinals Indoors

Steady rain on Friday morning forced the Cardinals essentially to move their workouts indoors into the clubhouse area although the four covered batting cages just outside the clubhouse were to be utilized for throwing and hitting and players were to play catch outside as the rain abated.

Rain was in the forecast for today and rain is what came to Roger Dean Stadium. There’s been a steady downpour since the early morning and it hasn’t let up as the time has approached noon here in Florida.

Using all the rooms, nooks and crannies that their spring complex had to offer, the Cardinals were able to salvage a day of work on Friday despite the persistent rain that left the fields too soggy for much outdoor activity.
