Adam Wainwright: Measures For Ab Injury 'Strictly Precautionary'

Hours before he was to board a flight for St. Louis on Wednesday, Adam Wainwright offered additional details about the abdominal injury that has him scheduled to meet with a specialist on Thursday.

Cardinals righthander Adam Wainwright, who will be examined Thursday in St. Louis for lower abdominal soreness, said Wednesday in camp he didn't think his injury was serious but didn't want to speculate too much. Wainwright said he hurt himself while replacing a 45-pound weight during a workout session a few days ago.
